Joshua Johnson, LCSW
Founder & Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Joshua Johnson is the Founder and Licensed Clinical Social Worker of Radiant Truth Counseling, LLC, a telehealth counseling practice serving clients throughout the state of Arizona. With 17 years of experience in behavioral health and counseling, Joshua has developed a deep understanding of how crisis, trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, identity concerns, chronic stress, and life transitions can impact the way people see themselves, others, and the world around them.
Joshua believes that therapy is not simply about addressing symptoms. It is about creating a safe, meaningful, and clinically grounded space where clients can explore their truth, reconnect with their inner light, and begin the process of healing with clarity, courage, and compassion. His work is rooted in the belief that even some of life’s most painful experiences can become the foundation for growth, restoration, and transformation.
Radiant Truth Counseling began as a simple seed planted over four years ago, a vision to create a therapeutic space where people could feel seen, supported, and empowered to heal. That seed has now grown into a practice prepared to serve, nourish, and provide light to individuals, couples, families, and communities seeking emotional wellness and hope. The name Radiant Truth reflects Joshua’s belief that every person carries light within them, and that light can help reveal the truth about their experiences, their self-worth, their relationships, and the beauty that can be found in healing.
As a clinician, Joshua provides counseling for individuals, couples, families, and adolescents navigating trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflict, emotional regulation concerns, LGBTQ+ identity and wellness, men’s health, women’s health, perinatal mental health, pregnancy and postpartum adjustment, fertility-related stress, and major life transitions. He is especially passionate about supporting clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward.
Joshua’s therapeutic approach is integrative, collaborative, and evidence-informed. He draws from a range of clinical modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills, EMDR-informed care, trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, psychoeducation, person-centered therapy, strengths-based practice, attachment-informed work, family systems theory, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and culturally responsive care. His approach is tailored to each client’s needs, honoring the reality that healing is not one-size-fits-all.
Joshua is also a PhD Candidate in Social Work, which further strengthens his clinical practice, research foundation, ethical decision-making, and commitment to high-quality mental health care. His doctoral training reflects his dedication to advancing emotional wellness, culturally responsive practice, trauma-informed treatment, and meaningful clinical outcomes for the clients and communities he serves.
In his work with couples, Joshua provides a balanced and supportive space where partners can explore conflict, improve communication, rebuild trust, understand emotional patterns, and determine what healing looks like for their relationship. Whether couples are navigating disconnection, betrayal, communication breakdowns, cultural differences, intimacy concerns, or uncertainty about the future, therapy can help create space for honesty, accountability, understanding, and informed decision-making.
Joshua is also deeply committed to providing affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients and culturally responsive support for individuals and families whose experiences are shaped by culture, identity, faith, community, and family systems. He understands that healing requires more than clinical tools alone. It requires respect, safety, authenticity, and a therapeutic relationship where clients can feel fully seen without judgment.
Ultimately, Joshua’s work is centered on helping clients move beyond survival and toward healing, emotional freedom, and purpose. Whether working with individuals, couples, families, or adolescents, his goal is to help clients challenge unhealthy patterns, strengthen coping skills, process painful experiences, improve relationships, and create a future that aligns with their highest potential.
At Radiant Truth Counseling, the work is guided by a simple belief: your story matters, your healing matters, and your truth matters.
